Privacy policy

Effective 2026-10 (draft)

Rapid Surveys Pty Ltd (ABN 80 096 216 849) provides TaTasque and handles personal information under the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988.

What we collect

How we use it

We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

Stripe (payments — we never see your full card number); Resend (sending email); map tile and place-search providers (Esri, OpenStreetMap / Nominatim) when you use the map; and any other program your company chooses to link, only as your company sets it up. Otherwise we share personal information only where the law requires, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety.

Who can see it inside TaTasque

Your company decides who sees what. People see only the projects and parts shared with them, at the level they are given. Your clients’ people see only what is shared with them. Anyone who has a share link can open that one photo or file until it is revoked.

Where and how it is stored

It is stored on servers in Sydney, Australia. We take reasonable steps to protect it; no system is perfectly secure. Passwords are stored only as one-way hashes (bcrypt): we cannot read or recover your password, and nobody — including us and your company’s admins — can see it or send it to you. Re-sending an invite or a sign-in reminder never changes your password; if you forget it, you reset it yourself from the sign-in page.

How long we keep it

While your company uses the Service. A closed company is deleted for good after 30 days; a backup of it is kept for 90 days. If you delete your own login, your access ends and your login is deleted straight away; work you shared stays with your company, shown as "Former member". Some records are kept longer where the law requires — payment records for up to 7 years, and safety records for the period workplace health and safety law requires.

Your rights

You can ask to see or correct your personal information, and you can export or delete it as described above. If there is a data breach likely to cause serious harm, we will tell you and the regulator as the law requires. To ask or complain, contact support@tatasque.com. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
